Abbey Bridal is closing down

Due to the rapidly declining economic state of the United Kingdom, it is with deepest regret, we have chosen to close the doors for the last time at Abbey Bridal. It has become clear to me that the longer we wait, the worse the cost of living crisis gets. Your budgets are lower, and you are having more intimate weddings and this has had a major impact on the bridal industry. In the last few months there have been a number of bridal businesses in Yorkshire alone that have closed their doors and it has become clear that I am just putting off the inevitable. For my mental health, for my children's, it is time. I didn't survive cancer, just to survive and be in constant worry.
I really wanted to have a soft close over the next couple of months and do this in a nice way where everyone receives the dress of their dreams, but unfortunately the way it has been portrayed on social media and the threats to my life, my families lives, it is no longer safe to be in store. Please do not continue to come to the store the minute lights are on, it is preventing my family from closing down the shop and it is risking the safety of anyone involved in the transition.

If you are one of our brides left waiting for a dress or a refund, rest assured, I am dealing with this and if you have not yet had a reply to your email, it is because it is taking longer to gather the answers to your questions. For all enquiries, please email jessica@abbeybridal.co.uk

If you are one of our many existing brides that have had their weddings, thank you so much for letting me be part of your story. There have been hundreds of brides who have said yes to the dress in Selby and Pontefract. I will cherish our moments we have had together for the rest of my life, thank you. And to the cancer survivors I have met, thank you, you have helped me accept my new body and I will never forget that.
